Deskrawl Leveling and Paragon: From 1 to 70

Fast leveling comes from repeatable clears, not the highest visible node. Protect gold from unnecessary talent resets, use free skill swaps, and distinguish normal 60–70 slowdown from a patched Paragon XP problem.

Use experience per hour, not enemy level

A higher map can grant more experience per kill while producing less experience per hour if waves take too long or the character dies. Start from the highest stable route and measure a timed sample.

When progress slows, compare clear time, deaths, travel, inventory stops, and boss interruptions. Fix the largest lost-time category before chasing a new area.

Plan around talent and skill milestones

Levels 1–14Establish the survival and attack cadence that keep early farming stable.
Levels 15–30Build the first complete resource/skill engine; swap active abilities as zones change.
Levels 30–59Protect the intended capstone path and collect coherent gear/rune pieces.
Level 60Community guides plan around a 60-point budget and exclusive capstone choices.
Levels 60–70Compare Paragon progress on the latest patch and keep a consistent test route.

Protect gold with a zero-regret testing order

One current Monk guide reports talent reset cost exceeding 2,600 gold around level 25. Treat the exact price as patch-sensitive; the planning lesson remains valid.
  1. Swap active abilities first; current guide testing reports those changes are free.
  2. Change one equipment group or minion next.
  3. Farm the last stable route and record the result.
  4. Only reset talents when the destination tree is written down point by point.
  5. Keep enough gold for town, gear, and recovery priorities after the reset.

Diagnose Paragon XP before calling the save broken

  • Update to at least the current 1.0.0h baseline.
  • Repeat the same activity once and record the before/after XP values.
  • Note class, level, difficulty, region, map, and enemy.
  • Check whether changing maps causes a visual reset or a real loss after restart.
  • Report reproducible values; do not delete or copy save files.

Build the level-70 route around consistency

The official “Peak of Power” achievement confirms level 70 as a milestone. Reaching it efficiently means keeping the build alive and the loot pipeline moving through many sessions.

Use difficulty increases only when the reward gain survives a full timed test. A slower but stable route is often the correct bridge to the next talent, Paragon point, or gear breakpoint.

Source and confidence note

Level 60 talent planning and free active-skill swaps are cross-checked in detailed community guides. Level 70 is confirmed by the official “Peak of Power” achievement. Patch 1.0.0h officially corrected some Paragon XP values that were too low.
