Update Deskrawl before changing anything else

Deskrawl shipped a Steam connection hotfix on 29 September, patch 1.0.0g on 30 September, and patch 1.0.0h on 1 October. Restart Steam, let the latest build finish downloading, and launch once from the Steam Library. Old-client connection failures, low Paragon XP, several class bugs, and some false cheat detections were already addressed.

Deskrawl Online Mode cannot connect to Steam

1. Confirm Steam is online and fully updated; the first hotfix specifically fixed connections from very old Steam clients.
2. Launch Deskrawl from the owning account's Steam Library rather than a copied executable or shortcut with unusual parameters.
3. Check whether the license is Family Sharing, Free Weekend, or PC cafe. Patch 1.0.0h limits those licenses to Singleplayer.
4. Record the exact connection message. The hotfix added more detailed errors, which are more useful than a screenshot of the title screen.

Do not delete a character or local save to test a server connection.

Deskrawl online and singleplayer characters are different choices

Online Mode is tied to trading and the online economy; Singleplayer remains available to supported shared or temporary licenses. Players are asking whether characters can move between the modes, but the official material reviewed here does not promise a transfer or sync path.

Safe assumption: treat each character mode as separate unless First Day Games documents a migration. Do not rely on an unofficial file-copy method for a valued Deskrawl character.

A Deskrawl market item is missing or will not list

First confirm the character is online and the item is eligible for trade. Official copy says valuable equipment, materials, and minions can be traded; it does not say every item is tradable. If a Deskrawl item vanished during a market action, do not repeat the listing with another valuable item.

• Capture the item name, rarity, affixes, and approximate time.
• Check storage, carriage, character inventory, and any completed or cancelled listing area.
• Restart only after Steam Cloud has finished its current sync.
• Report the sequence and timestamp through the official Steam discussion or support route.

Deskrawl Cloud progress looks older or different

Steam lists Cloud support, but community questions show confusion when moving between machines or playing before a sync finishes. Stop launching Deskrawl on multiple PCs, allow the active Steam client to finish syncing, and note which machine contains the newest known state.

This Deskrawl troubleshooting guide deliberately avoids telling you to overwrite or delete cloud files. Preserve both copies if Steam presents a conflict and choose only after comparing timestamps and the machine used for the latest session.

Deskrawl Paragon experience looks too low

Patch 1.0.0h fixed some Paragon-level experience values that were incorrectly low. Update Deskrawl, repeat the same type of activity, and compare gains again. If the number still appears wrong, record current level, zone, difficulty, enemy type, expected gain source, and actual gain.

Report a reproducible Deskrawl bug

A short reproducible Deskrawl report is more useful than reinstalling, deleting saves, or repeatedly triggering a market or inventory loss.
